About

The Saturday programme is a combined BVDSG and BSVP day covering pattern analysis and emphasising clincopathologic correlation. The Gala Dinner on the Saturday night will give both societies a great chance to meet, relax and foster relationships.

On Sunday the two groups divide into separate streams. The BSVP program will build on the foundations set on Saturday with a strong focus on the molecular pathology of dermatological conditions, a continued emphasis on the importance of clinical and pathological correlation, and a special session on equine dermatopathology. For more detail see programme attached.

We will also provide a forum during which early career veterinary pathologists (residency stage or equivalent) can present their work. Presentations documenting cases involving any organ system or species will be welcome during this session, although we will particularly welcome abstract submissions describing cases involving the skin. We are pleased once again to offer a Travel Bursary for veterinary pathology trainees (see attachment).

Maintaining a holistic clinical-pathological approach through to the conclusion of our program, we will end the day with a combined session with BVDSG, with Dr Peter Forsythe and Dr David Shearer guiding us through “Dermatoclinical correlation: difficult cases”.

The 11th Annual General Meeting of the BSVP will be held on Sunday 12th November.
