issues

politics

There are some political issues that will concern some of the membership and the Society would be a relevant forum, even if they do not concern everyone.

The redrafting of the Veterinary Surgeons Act, the Guide to Professional Conduct and Retention of Tissues as well as the Human Tissue Act are some broad topics that spring to mind. Accreditation of laboratories, PDP for pathologists and post-graduate diploma courses are also worthy of debate.

With the establishment of the Veterinary Pathology Liaison Group at the RCVS, there is a good opportunity to take important matters forward with an informed viewpoint from the Society.

When we have found our feet, we may find our voice.
