The first in what is hoped to be a new series of regional meetings for East Anglia was held in the Simon Gibson room at the Beaufort Cottage Equine Hospital, Exning, Newmarket. The meeting began with an excellent resume on new ideas on the classification of mammary tumours in dogs and, briefly, cats given by Roberta Rasotto, one of the co-members of the working group which put together a new classification for the special oncology edition of Veterinary Pathology in 2011. This system is still being developed and new ideas were presented. Roberta went on to present cases of canine mammary tumours supplied by the participating audience until finally an equine post mortem case was presented. The session was very well received and attendees with 17 people present despite 3/4 regular attendees from the past not being able to attend this time.
