Senior Clinician/Clinician in Anatomic Pathology

Salary: Grade 7/8/9 £37,474 – £42,155 / £46,047 – £53,353/£54,949 – £61,823 per annum

The University of Glasgow, School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine is seeking to recruit a Senior Clinician/Clinician in Anatomic Pathology. You will join our enthusiastic group of clinicians in Veterinary Diagnostic Services (VDS) within the Division of Pathology, Public Health and Disease Investigation (PPHDI) in delivering a wide range of clinical and scholarly activities. You will contribute to undergraduate teaching, postgraduate training and the delivery of anatomic pathology diagnostic services (post-mortem and biopsy) as well as undertaking high quality collaborative clinical research. An interest in developing expertise in rodent pathology would be an advantage.

The Veterinary School has recently been rated 7th in the World and 1st in the UK for quality of veterinary education and training. Clinical audit is undertaken formally, and staff maintain clinical and research links with leading veterinary authorities worldwide, in order to expand skill sets.

We welcome applications from candidates who hold a Veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as well as a specialist postgraduate veterinary pathology qualification (i.e. Diploma of the American or European College of Veterinary Pathologists, or Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists) or for appointment at Grade 7: eligibility to sit the qualifying examination for a specialist postgraduate veterinary pathology qualification (i.e. Diploma of the American or European College of Veterinary Pathologists, or Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists) within 1 year of appointment.
